The Gingher 4" Curved Embroidery Scissors
Slightly thicker blades allow this scissors to be used for cutting one layer of fabric needlework embroidery or paper crafts. The curved narrow blades and sharp points enable close cuts while working above the work surface. These scissors have a double-plated chrome over nickel finish and includes a fitted leather sheath and collectable tin for storage.

I've been trying to find these for long time and couldn't find them in stock even in the Garment District in New York. They're perect for close work including miniature appplique as well as embroidery.

these are very sharp and because of the curve, it will cut the thread right up to the fabric. although I truly love these, it takes up time to get my fingers through the scissor holes to cut thread every time, so I will buy a thread snip so i can pick up and snip. I will save this for other projects

Every seamstress should have a pair. I've been sewing for 25+ years and these, by far, are my favorite.
